    A query

    As posted on another forum:

"Not too long ago I brought up the issue I had where Human Proteome Folding would fail on my stock clocked Q9300 and only return errors, but work fine on my E4500. I thought I'd mention an interesting development, which is my new X4 955BE does not have this same issue. It would appear that HPF doesn't have an issue with quad cores in general, but only Intel quads. Can any other AMD users confirm that Human Proteome folding works on their quad / dual? How about any AMD users that get errors from this project?"

Anyone have any feedback on this?

    Thank you.

    you can try there.

edit: i had an odd issue with my x3. as long as i kept work off the 3rd core, it was stable forever. as soon as i put work on it, it would BSOD. ended up being an RMAable issue. (AMD slapped my hand for using/mentioning using a better HSF, though)

    other than that, i've crunched HPF to gold on any combination of Ph2 X3s, Ph1 9550s, i7 920s, C2D E4400s.

edit2: i'm ASSuming CPUs can have errors small enough that they just give computation errors rather than BSODs (or other random crashes). have you checked your memory, also?

    Hi,
My Phenom2 940 would throw errors in Proteome folding a lot, I had to take that project off the list.
